An Analysis of the Bioethical Contents of Ethics Text Book in High School
Nam Hyun

Abstract
In these days Japanese History textbook is the main issue, simply because the school textbooks are the most influential basic tools and sources in education. The aim of high school ethics is to help students as members of a nation to accomplish the ethical cognizance, as well as the basis of universal ideas and principles. But this paper shows that this aim is hardly attainable for the following reasons. First of all, the contents of this text are hard for students to learn. Second, the contents are too abstract for student to understand. Third, the way of the descriptions is not only obscure but boring. Lastly, the textbook hinders the students from doing critical thinking, because in the textbook the ethical judgements are not logically derived from the factual situations. This paper proposes that textbook should include cases found in our everyday lives. And, the textbook should be open to any criticism.
